Meet Antonio Pizza: A Dedicated Community Member and Candidate for School Board
Antonio Pizza, a recent graduate of Paul J. Hagerty High School, is a dedicated individual who embodies the spirit of community, assistance, and initiative. As a proud Eagle Scout and unwavering soul, Antonio has rooted himself in Seminole County, having moved to Florida at 14, beginning high school here in Florida and evolved into a wholehearted compassion and passionate member for the community.
His commitment and mission is to give back towards the community who grew him into the man he has become and continues to evolve into; This all has been visible through Antonio’s community service mission and ideologies.

Pizza’s Platform
Increase the amount of students in school
450 teachers lost their job last year in our county. This is due to an increase in more students attending classes online, instead of in person. I recommend students to return to the traditional learning environment and leave behind Covid-era learning.
Students being passed without a true education
While students should be given a second chance, we need to guarantee that students will still have the knowledge to succeed in life. Many students fail classes and go into summer programs which allow easier ways of cheating and allow students to slip through the cracks without gaining a proper education.
Saving Tax Payer’s Money
Seminole County utilizes tax payer’s money to fund Seminole County Virtual School along with licensing the curriculum from Florida Virtual School. This is an unnecessary program as students can attend Florida Virtual School directly saving the county and tax payer’s money. With a school district 17 million in debt, I plan on phasing out Seminole County Virtual School in favor of in person learning.
Distraction free education
While current phone policy allows loopholes for students to get easily distracted. We recommend a specific spot away from students for all phones to be placed, keeping our students completely undistracted during education.
